1. My favorite unit in Journalism was doing the blogs. My least was doing the columns unit.
2. My favorite project was doing the shamed journalist project. My least favorite was the book report
3. One thing I would keep about this class is how fun it is and Mrs. Brown. Something I would change is really nothing

Reviews

Kate Moore

You have GOT to be kidding... is this guy for real? And that album cover looks like it was designed by a 4 year old! I feel sorry for the youth today...

Beastboy Zach

Tyler the creator is amazing, people are scared to like him b/c he is a atheist, but he's a very talented man, without a father, mother who had trouble, lived in the slums, and he was broke, now he's rich, everyone's heard him, not everyone likes him, but he does the music he wants, and that's what counts

1. The topic of the reviews focused on the new album by Tyler the Creator called "Wolf"
2. The first review seemed disappointed and angry while the second review tried to get others to listen to the album
3. There are no facts in the first review just a persons opinion and for the other review, they have opinions and facts. The last review states that Tyler grew up rough which indeed he did and as opinion he says that the artist is amazing and talented. The first review says that Tyler the Creator did a horrible job at making the album cover.
4. I agree more with Beastboy Zach's review, because I heard the album numerous of times and I think it's wonderful, good beats and good lyrics.

Ferguson Editorial Cartoon and Writing

http://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2014/08/19/ferguson-martin-luther-king-jr-police-protestors-revolution-peace-unemployment-column/14288367/

1. What is the topic of the cartoon/ written editorial?

       The riots in Ferguson, Missouri.

2.  How do each represent their topic? What is the author's/ cartoonist's views on their subject matter?

That the situation is getting out of control and that it's so similar to everything that's bad that's happening now.

3. In what ways are they (cartoon/ editorial) alike? In what ways are they different?

They both deal with the riots in Ferguson. One concentrates on the views of Dr. Martin Luther King if he was still alive.

4. Which (cartoon/written editorial) is more effective at proving their point

        The cartoon.

5. What are the benefits of drawing an editorial cartoon vs. writing an editorial? What are the drawbacks?

People really read that much now so they look for pictures for information but reading an article will give even more information.

Are Face Piercings Cool?

Teens have a unique way on how they carry themeselves. How they speak, how they style their hair, and mostly how they dress. But the one thing that's on teens minds, is facial piercings cool? Facial piercings are a big trend for teens this year. Most teen girls want nose and lip piercings. Male teens prefer to have their ears pierced. "I feel like girls are attractive if they have a lip piercing" says Tyler Mircale. Other teens are not so sure about face piercings.

Brooklyn Nevarez states that, " It depends on where it is and how you look with it. Are facial piercings really that trendy and what would be a next trend for teens. Share you opinion on facial piercing.

5 Things that Happened During the Summer

1) My favorite TV show "Loiter Squad" had their third season. Loiter Squad if a really humorous show including my favorite rappers and comedians, Tyler the Creator, Jasper Dolphin, Taco Bennett, L-Boy, and Earl Sweatshirt. The shows the crew doing sketches and pranks on each other and random people on the street. I really can't wait for their next season.

2) ISIS capture and executed another journalist by the name of James Foley. ISIS has made a huge impact in the national news. The president has done little to the problem, but at the same time he's trying. I just hope ISIS doesn't make their way to the U.S . I've been paying close attention to the actions of ISIS, and they are really ruthless. They kill millions of innocent men, women, and children. Rumor has it the group are British extremist.

3) A African American teen, Mike Brown was shot multiple times by Fergonson police. Brown put his hands in the air as a sign of surrender,he was still shot down. Brown's body was left in the steet for 4 hours. As a result of the shooting, riots stormed the Fergonson community. Looting was in progress, SWAT teams were assembled, and rioters were injured. If you ask me it's the LA Riots again.
